Oh wow ah stale remaster without any new features? SIGN ME UP ACTIVISION! Blizzard took a masterclass how to kill their franchises, by making new games less modable and fan made content feels like unwanted. Thank you and much love fellow gamers! <3

Using Minecraft or Skyrim as examples we can see that empowering the players and the communities to make change only increases the success and popularity of a title.

Mod support has no effect on the original version of the game and only allows the community to create more content as well as bolsters the longevity of the title without increasing costs for Blizzard. We're asking Blizzard to officially support private servers and allow hardcoding even if it's on a separate client (similar to how Minecraft allows private servers). However Blizzard's current stance on no hardcoding, no private servers and no TCP / IP will stop players from creating or enjoying these mods on Diablo 2 Resurrected. There are many active mods that have expanded and brought the community together such as Project Diablo 2, Median XL and PlugY. Hundreds of thousands of players have enjoyed mods on Diablo 2 over the years and still do to this day. "Modding has been part of the Diablo 2 culture for nearly 20 years and has brought a lot of longevity to the game.
